the locomotion Approach
Movement is fundamental to human health, performance, and quality of life. The musculoskeletal system serves as the foundation for that movement, and it is also the source of many of the aches, pains, and limitations people experience every day.
My approach to treatment is built on a simple principle: joints and muscles work together. Restricted joints can contribute to muscle tension, and tight, guarded muscles can limit the effectiveness of joint-based treatment. Addressing one without the other often leads to incomplete results. It’s like macaroni without the cheese.
For that reason, my treatment philosophy focuses on first reducing tension within the muscular system through targeted soft tissue techniques, followed by chiropractic adjustments to restore proper joint motion. By improving both tissue quality and joint mobility, the body is better positioned to move efficiently, recover effectively, and maintain lasting results.
